Funeral Date:

Mrs. Janice Fay Sheffield, of Ozark, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her home.  She was 70.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Ray Layton officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

Janice was born April 24, 1948, in Enterprise, Alabama.  She was a member of Grace Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Austin Grice and Mattie Jewel Leger Smith; son, Robert Austin Rodgers; nephew, Jimmy Dean Hutto; and granddaughter, Ryleigh McKenzie Carol Andrews.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, George Sheffield of Ozark; six children: Melinda Waldner (Wayne) of Enterprise, Jody Sheffield of Austin, TX, Ronald Lindsey (Liz) of Louisiana, Matthew Davidson (Joyce) of Ozark, Keith Sheffield of Dothan, and Steven Rodgers (Carolyn) of Daleville; sister, Gwendolyn Attaway of Daleville; brother, Kenneth Grice (Audrey) of Coffee Springs; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family thanks DaySpring Hospice for their loving, compassionate care.

Deepest Sympathy to you all in the loss of Jan. Did not know

until I saw the obit and it was too late for the funeral service.

Jan was a Beautiful Lady and I know she is missed very much.

Mr. Sheffield, I am so sorry for the loss of your wife. I know you will cherish so many wonderful memories with her. And the children, It is nothing like the love of a Mom. Keep the love she showed in front of you at all times. Best of all is that you can reunite with her again shortly when God's New World comes. "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven." What a joyous reunion that will be!!
